STEPS : For A Beginner
1.) First of all start of by picking an easy object to drawn (ex.ball, stack of books) objects that you don't have to use to much of texture to include.
2.) After you chosen your object of choice place it on a flat surface. (ex.counter, floor, dining table etc.)
3.) After choosing your object and having a surface chosen examine the object for a couple of minutes. Examining the object look for its position, pattern, and anything else that' ll help you draw the object.
4.) Start at a point you want to start at and draw lightly with your pencil to erase if you make a mistake.
5.)When you have your shape drawn then include the shading and texture of the object.

BALL
This is a simple drawing of a ball. The picture shows the shape shadow and shading to show more details in the drawing.
Drawing
This picture to draw is a little harder but it uses everything in it background. Using shading and showing the details. I would recommend for you to draw this if you're confident in your drawing and after you had practice.
The picture above is using light color and showing the light hit the object. This is a painting though. The background is shown as a deep red to make the objects pop out.
Basically if you see a object you like draw it. That is if you have a creative flash in my words. This is just a note.
Also remember to have a lamp any source of light near the object your drawing.
